The CEC Public Works, Roads and Transport Hon. Catherine Kenga and Chief Officer, Special programs and Disaster Management – Irene Opicho attended a meeting for people living with disabilities (PWDs), where they listened to the challenges faced by the community. One of the major issues discussed was the lack of adequate medical facilities for PWDs, which can result in disabilities such as cerebral palsy caused by prolonged labor. They also mentioned that they need better roads which would make it easier for them to reach medical facilities.
It was heartening to see such an engaged and supportive gathering, and we remain committed to advocating for the needs of this community.
